Everyone can just bleach away the memory of M.I.A rapping and doing a cheerleading routine on Madonna’s music video.
This new single and video for ‘Bad Girls’ is the real reason why the rapper is amazing.
(I mean really. If I had to wave a pom pom in the air and be Madonna’s backup dancer, I’d show my middle finger to the cameras too)

Oh, the perils of starting a new job.
I barely have time to sleep, let alone discover new music. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve updated, several weeks more since I’ve added new songs into my iPod, and even longer since I’ve enjoyed a whole day of discovering new music.
All I’ve got are old (but still amazing) songs.

Seven months since I’ve first heard this song, and Atlas Genius‘ ‘Trojans’ is still an amazingly catchy little tune. You’d think the Aussie band would have released another buzz single, or an EP, and a whole album by now, but nope. All we’ve got is this acoustic version of ‘Trojans’.
Still awesome.

is it so hard to forgive the way that we’ve been made to live?
My mental music video for this song involves traipsing through open fields of tall grass, hot sun creating backlit silhouettes, arms thrown to the sky, wind in hair, shades of yellow, gold and green, hipster-passe Bohemian clothes, and plenty of lingering close-ups of smiling faces.
And then a tornado comes and destroys everything.
Anyway, I can see the video in my head quite vividly, which made me wonder if I actually did watch the video, and then forget about it after.
So I did a quick search on YouTube to see if a video truly exists, and I found this!
